Have you booked a spring wedding?
The theme of your wedding can greatly depend on when you choose to book your wedding. At Tullyglass, we have held weddings in spring, summer, autumn and winter. So, we have a few tips for you if you have booked your wedding in the spring.
Spring Wedding Months
Spring covers March, April, May and June (June can fall under the summer category as well). This is the beginning of brighter evenings, greener grass, blooming flowers and we hope for drier days! This is why we think spring is one of the best times to get married and most agree as spring is one of the most popular wedding months!
Spring Wedding Colour Palette
One of the main reasons why these months are so popular is because of the beautiful wedding colour palette that comes with a spring wedding. The thing most couples are shocked by when planning their wedding is the detail that goes into everything. Whichever colour palette you choose will be hinted at in everything from the brides’ bouquet, the bridesmaid dresses, the groom’s suit (in some form), your guests’ invitations and scattered throughout your wedding venue. So yes… your colour palette is super important.
Traditionally, a spring colour palette is full of pastel hues or airy, cheerful colours, like, pink, blue, yellow, purple, and green. To help create a balanced colour palette the trick is to choose two main colours. and pair them with a neutral such as white, grey or cream. If you prefer more muted tones rather than pastel colours some options are french blue, mauve or sage green. These are perfect and still in line with spring!
Your Wedding Venue
If you’re planning a spring wedding, celebrate the natural beauty and renewal of the season by choosing a botanical venue. Surrounding your wedding day with flowers and greenery will really let you enjoy the spring element of your wedding. The grounds of Tullyglass are surrounded by nature that comes to life in the springtime.
Booking your wedding somewhere with open ground makes for beautiful photographs by photographers and guests. Allowing the little ones to run around also means you are not restricted to the wedding hall for the entirety of the day.
Wedding Menu
Last but not least, your spring wedding menu. We all know how important your wedding menu is and it isn’t just for the guest! Choosing your wedding menu used to be so easy but now there is a lot more thought put into it. Holding your wedding in the spring means you can put a little springtime twist on the menu. Some ideas include a caesar salad, using spring vegetables in the soup, adding fish to the main course and introducing a light dessert.
But don’t forget, whatever you choose you must like as well. It is your day after all!
