Tullyglass Hotel recently underwent a brand new refurbishment throughout the hotel. This included their beloved restaurant. This renovation allowed the hotel to create a whole new look for its lounge, including rebranding its name to ‘McAllister’s Whiskey Lounge’.
McAllister’s Whiskey Lounge

Whiskey has a history with Tullyglass that goes back hundreds of years.
James McAllister was a successful entrepreneur on the Glens of Antrim, who amassed his fortune in the local whiskey trade as a distiller, bottler and bonder. James McAllister & Sons, Ballymena distillery was established in 1854 by the Antrim entrepreneur.
In the late 19th Century, James McAllister acquired Rainsford House, renaming it Tullyglass House. So, it was only fitting that the new lounge area of the Northern Ireland hotel was named after the legacy of James McAllister.
When you visit the newly refurbished McAllister’s Whiskey Lounge you will find all sorts of tributes to the history of McAllister’s Ballymena including their Old Irish Whiskey, advertising from the time, artwork and memorabilia.
Dine in the new lounge
Dining at the new McAllister’s Whiskey Lounge is an experience in itself after the renovation. The Tullyglass team wanted to celebrate the reopening of the Northern Ireland restaurant. To do this they created a new menu with a few new dishes alongside some old favourites… yummy!
You can visit the Ballymena restaurant from 10 am every day and enjoy brunch, lunch or fine dining.

Front and centre of the newly renovated lounge you will find McAllister & Sons Old Irish Whiskey! But non-whiskey drinkers, never worry, there is plenty of other drink options available. Cocktails, pints, vodka, gin and soft drinks… we have got it all!
